Our older Welsummer hen is limping today. She was fine in AM and she did not jump off a roost. She walked into her run just fine but later did not want to come out. She is hopping, she has a good appetite, and there is no obvious wound or damage. Maybe she caught her leg somehow in the wiring?
We gave her half an aspirin. My daughter thinks a part of her rump is bruised? Just gee and her Leghorn sister were in the pen. She is kind of a heavy henny, but there was no flying involved, just an A frame run we keep them in except when we let them run amok or put them in a safe cage for the night.
