Hello everyone, I am so excited to almost be a chicky mommy!

Growing up it was my dream to some day own a house, have a yard I can grow things, have some smaller farm animals and be living the life.

Fast forward 2006 I had my first child and lived in Brooklyn for 10yrs and had a second child, just making ends meet on lucky months not being able to pay bills, my childhood dreams became "if we ever hit the lottery"
Well the biggest fight in my marriage from a misunderstanding turned into me applying for a FHA loan to move back to long island and to prove to my husband that I would never be approved. Well for one of the first times of my life I was SO HAPPY TO BE WRONG..
Fast forward 2 yrs.
We now own a home in South Shirley Long island NY. We are on a tiny piece of property, but that doesn't stop us. We grow veggies, have 2 amazing children, and a wonderful florida room to entertain guests and family. We enjoy BBQ, swimming in our pool, going to the near by beaches, gardening (don't tell my husband that i love to mow the lawn...)
We have 4 indoor only cats Pinochle, Penelope, Peppa, and George (brother and sister)
An elderly chihuahua who thinks he is a cat, his name is Pooper
and a 60lb mini pig named Olivia.
I thankfully get to work from home, and hubby works at a pet store.
We are going to be picking up our babies tomorrow and are super excited!

:welcome

Congrats on your upcoming flock! What breeds did you choose? Better get a coop up if you haven't already, those little chicks grow quickly!

Thanks for joining us!
My hubby works at a store that just got chicks in, we are going to get 2 each of the 3 kinds (in ny they have to sell in sets of 6) Araucana/ameraucanas, Buff brahma, and Amberlink
