Suggested breeds?

This might not be the best place to post this question. However I thought it the best place to find others with my needs. I have a small coop, I love in a condo, I need a quiet chicken and I would like a chicken that will lay eggs. does a small quiet egg layer exist? Is there a chiwawa of chickens?

I think Silkies might be a good choice. They have the added benefit of not really looking like chickens. Another bantam breed such as Cochins, Orpingtons, etc would work. For full size breeds, my experience with Mediterranean breeds (Leghorns, Anconas, and similar) while small they are rather loud. Easter Eggers and Barred Rocks are popular for eggs.

Silkies are defiently a great choice! I have all silkies. they are quiet gentle great natured and loving
. also they are small. And they really are great!
