For 4H this year I'm doing the Poultry project. Until now we've mostly kept production-type strains for eggs, but if I want to show we figured we should settle on a breed. We ordered some Light Brahma eggs from Schlecht Hatchery (http://www.schlechthatchery.com/) last year, and although all we got out of the deal was Roosters (We only had 2 of the Brahmas- Incubator troubles) they are very docile, calm, and easy to handle, and I like their plumage. This is a picture of one of the Roosters from there: http://i43.tinypic.com/287gbih.jpg Although, looking at their site, it looks like they don't sell them anymore, so it's a moot point I suppose.
Anyways, so does anyone know of any hatcheries that produce show quality Brahmas (Preferably Light, but Buff or Dark is fine too), or breeders in the Midwest? Thanks!
