I recently got this new two level brooder so I start raising chicks outside (https://www.walmart.com/ip/MEDEHOO-...0251?sid=5a561ae1-d201-4520-9458-618e9e58e2c3) .

Overall it seems like it will work out great, except once I put the feeders, waterers and brooder plates in it I realized they take up a lot of floor space.

I'm looking for suggestions on feeders and waterers that I can use for young chicks that would attach to the outside of the brooder.

I found these that are meant for rabbits, ferrets etc., but I'm not sure if they would work for young chicks:

If they work I can only imagine it wouldn't be as messy as having feeders and waterers in the brooder, I just don't want to buy them and find out the chicks can't use them for some reason I'm not seeing. If anyone has tried something similar how did it work out?

If you have any other suggestions on what could work please let me know, thanks.

Just the standard vertical poultry drinker nipples are fine for chicks. You can either buy readymade waterers with them, or just buy the nipples to diy your own.

I've seen the nipple drinkers for chickens, but I'm not sure how they'd attach to the screen of the brooder. The one's I've seen are on the sides of large buckets . . .?

This is one of the premade types you can buy - depending on the size of mesh it might or might not be possible to fit it with the water tank on the outside of the brooder, without unscrewing the arm the nipple is attached to.

You can buy just the nipples themselves and fit them to any type of plastic bottle, tupperware or similar that's made of thick enough plastic. If you hang the bottle or whatever it won't take up any floor space.

That first one looks like it'll do the trick! I can snip the mesh a bit if necessary to fit the nozzle through. Thanks!
