Suggestions on feed for first winter

I up protein if anything in the winter, and our winters are wicked. But that's because they free-range normally and don't get that protein from outside sources in the winter.
I also add electrolytes to their water once a week.
They don't get extra scratch, which they get little of any way.
Winter is also when I drag out the frozen bits of the garden or canning peels from the freezer. It's a little piece of sunshine in their world.
If the day is over 40 with little to no wind, they're outside though, usually digging through the compost or manure pile.

I mix my own feed. I include corn because it is part of the balance of the entire meal. I feed sunflower seeds, and add more in the winter. Sunflower seeds will keep them warmer than corn.
