These are pictures and dimensions of my coop and run, this weekend if we have time thanks to a bonus at work I am going to at least double the size of the run. My question is I have 6 hens and a rooster can I add a couple more hens? Also any suggestions on things to do or add to insure my little ones are happy? They have a dusting pit, a couple of roost and a swing.

Going with bare minimums, you could have 12 chickens in your coop, but nine in your run. If they’re to be in a run permanently I’d suggest going above the minimums to reduce stress. I would either stick with 8, so one more hen, or increase the run and keep upto 12, five more hens.
For boredom, you could create forage areas, plants, hanging fruits and veg, logs and tree stumps, mirrors, kids toys make good pecking objects too

Thank you I have a few stumps in there and I have tried hanging broccoli and cabbage which they completely ignored, I have also tried apple's and again it was ignored. Are my chickens defective in that theydone line vegetables and fruit? LOL I have a few CD's hanging in different areas which they mostly ignore. I have several plants growing in containers that I will switch out one at a time as they grow they aren't big enough yet. Here is a picture of what I have planted for them...
