Hello, i am new to backyard chickens but have learnt alot from the forums, i have recently hatched a second batch but only got 2 out of 10 chicks. One of the chicks a sultan breed cannot walk, i have looked at one of the legs the right kne and its facing the wrong way. I think its spraddled so did what i saw online, not sure if its correct?

How long do i leave the strap on? And is there anything i am not seeing that your experienced eyes are seeing?
Thank you.

Welcome to BYC. Sorry about the chick. It might be helpful to use some vitamin B complex dissolved in a small amount of water and give some daily. Are the legs far apart? It looks and sounds more like a twisted tibia leg deformity or possibly a slipped tendon. Can you remove the hobble and take a picture of it standing from the front, even if someone has to hold it up?

Here is some reading about slipped tendon:

I went to chexk up on her and found she had passed away, its so sad, was a beautiful bird aswell, thank you for the help :(

Oh no, I am very sorry for your loss. That looked like a pretty severe leg problem, one that you may have needed to cull for, but it is sad nonetheless.
