Hello, I recently had 2 friends of mine move to Sun River, Oregon which is a stones throw away from Bend, if you are at all familiar with the area. Sun River is kind of an artificial town, built as a resort town in the middle of the woods but I don't think it has a zip code and I am not really sure who makes the rules for the area. My friends moved into one of the vacation homes that one of their parents owns and they planned on staying until further notice, not just a vacation thing. My plan was to come up during winter break from school and build a small backyard coop for him, maybe big enough for 3-5 chickens. My problem is that I don't know the ordinances(if any) or how to find them... google has done nothing but come back with information on how to rent the properties there and any time I try to find ordinances it just says you can't bring dogs to rental properties and such... doesn't really make any clear guidelines for permanent residents.
So it's kind of a shot in the dark, small town in central Oregon. If you are familiar with the area or have any ideas please let me know. Thanks.
