Super Bummed Out....

My fiance got laid off, and I'm still awaiting my Disability decision. Due to lack of money, and almost losing our home, I've had to sell all of my chickens. I can no longer afford to care for them due to the sudden loss of income, and my ever-growing medical debt.

It was my dream to own chickens, and now that's been squashed. Even if my fiance finds work and my disability is approved right away, it will still probably be many years before I can ever own chickens again.

Do what you have to do in the name of 'survival'. In the future when things are more favorable, start over again.

Oh, I'm so sorry. Having "farm" animals has been so incredibly freeing for my mom and I (both semi-disabled). We couldn't afford it without the generosity of our friends, but I still can't imaging having to give everything up! What a miserable thing to happen. I hope someday things turn around for you and you can have chickens again!
