So its been a hard two weeks. The short story is my crib midget was MedEvac'd and is fine but that was a long 48 hrs and the only thing left is a missing big toenail. On the way home from that, 8 miles from home got a call that my 4-H leader had drowned and was missing. This is the man who gave me away at my wedding. So the hubby and I went straight there and he started to help in the recovery. (He is trained in this type of deal its part of his job) Mind you it was with very little sleep and very very cold black water. Plus with a very upset wife, family and friends. We were there for all 25 hours until he was found. Then helped the family with all the memorial prep and such. It was great to see all the people who came for his memory. On top of that we had house guests for two weeks. I love them but still just a bit much with everything else. GRRRrrrr right?
Okay so today we were taking the guests to the airport 100 miles away. No biggie semi nice day ~stupid wind here and smoke in Fairbanks. But I got to go pick up 3 Silver Laced Wyandottes! I saw them on craigslist and asked the wonderful Mrs Heidi if she would hold them for me untill I could get up there today. OMG sooo cute.
(I think the hubby was more stoked than me on these 3) If that was not enough I have been looking for a firetruck bed for the crib midget but was not about to pay the $299-499 for one. Well I found a used one and got the call first to Mrs Tina!! Whoo hoo the SLW and the bed were 6 miles apart.
So if that was not enough because of a post I had on here Mrs Holly contacted me and offered her whole blue orphington flock to me!
Talk about some great looking birds!
And she was even kind enough to hold them untill I can get back up that way with a bigger kennel to bring them home. Mrs Holly and her family were very nice and had some wonderful chickens and horses so needless to say we spent a good deal of time chict-chatting it up.
I hate to sound selfish but I am really stoked today went so well for my family. Anywhos I had to share. ~AkTomboy
