...her legs are so yellow. I think she may be Barred Rock. I called the feed store, and they said hatchery quality CM may have yellowish legs. Ugh. Barred Rocks are great, but I really wanted another type of hen and darker eggs. I threw in some older pics after the recent pic. She’s currently almost 7 weeks old

I have had hatchery cuckoo Marans with yellowish legs that lay darker than average eggs. I agree, the barring on this chick is not as fine as it would be in a barred Plymouth Rock. I would say it is a cuckoo Maran.
 
Thank you for your replies! This reminds me of my EEs when I couldn’t wait to see their eggs to find out the color. I really hope it’s a hatchery quality CM with darker eggs.

Updated pic at 5 months. She is on the left, next to my Barred Rock (in the apron).

Do you still have the same opinion? We have a laying hens, so I don’t know if she’s laid yet. Her hips and squatting say any day now!!
