We got this little girl when she was just a chick. We were told that was a D'uccle, along with two others that we originally had. Those two turned out to be roosters and were rehomed, however they looked the same as here color and pattern wise at a younger age. A friend is downsizing and asked if we would like a D'uccle that she can not show or breed due to it having a missing toe. We said we would take her and she sent pictures. Her D'uccle has that much more obvious look with those black and white spots. Yet, our little one has no spots.
She is about thirteen weeks old and has those fluffy cheeks like a D'uccle. Just no spots, only black on her neck. The friend we are getting the D'uccle from thought she may have been a Buff Brahma hen at first. However, we have a Buff Brahma and she has a rose comb and no fluffy cheeks, whereas this little one has fluffy cheeks and a single comb.
What do you guys think she could be? A mix perhaps? Regardless of if she is a mix or not, we love her the same as all of our other birds and she is such a sweetheart.
