Surprise Barred Plymouth Rocks!

I hatched some eggs and come to find out, some of those eggs were from my Barred Plymouth Rock hen and pullet!

I thought you'd like to see some photos!

The one I'm holding is the Barred Plymouth Rock (pullet coloring), the one in the back is a Barred Plymouth Rock x Black Minorca

I'm still up in the air about the hen-colored one. It looks and acts like a female....but that comb and wattles...

Then again, her mother had the same thing going on.

Hmm, I dunno. Definitely, it's hen colored, but some of the boys can be extra dark for males on occasion. It's rare that happens, it seems. Guess that's a good thing, though, or I'd always be confused, LOL.

This year, I've had several pullets get red combs way earlier than normal. Right now, I have one BR pullet who is 9 weeks old with a very red comb, but all other traits say "girly girl".
