Surprising chicken behaviors

Those are beautiful birds!
Thank you! We were really excited over Oliver's unusual colors, looking forward to colorful eggs. Nope! Lol. He's well behaved with people, so far at least. Without spurs, I'm not worried about turning my back on him. I had a barred rock roo who was down right dangerous.

Squeaky is a Japanese White Black-Tailed Bantam. I don't think he weighs a pound! He's a mature boy at 1.5 years. For all his incredibly short legs, he can easily jump 4' up. I really like him. If I ever add a second flock, I'd get more of these little dudes. His breed are true banties, they do not come in a larger size.

Gorgeous mixed flock!
Thank you! I'm trying to decide if I want to add any white or lavender. Before I do that, I want to see how winter goes. I normally don't get a lot of snow, and what little I do get doesn't stay around long. I want to try and get them outside as much as possible. I see how it goes.
