The first day/night was exciting/scary/sad (lost my tiny one) but the rest of the week has been great!! All 14 seem to be doing well and I swear they are growing already. Now I have noticed a couple chicks who are much more aggressive then the rest - is this an indicator of a male? I have read about the peeking order just think who would be most likely at the top - the roo right??? I have names all picked out but don't want to stick the roo with a name like Sue.

Not saying you don't have any little roo's there but pullets will act like that too, so don't get too worried yet! There are usually a couple of pullets who are bossier and higher up in the pecking order right from the start. LIttle roo's often don't assert themselves over a boss hen until they get a little older. I know mine was a very mild little fellow who did not challenge my boss hen until his hormones kicked in.

Oh, Thought I was onto something there but guess I will wait a little while longer for the name game unless I can come up with 14 coed names. My small frizzles are currently Elf and Pixie but all others are "hey you" or "little guy". Thanks for the help.
