Sussex County Fair (NJ)

The fair starts tomorrow. I'll be there first thing! The gates open at 10:00. I'm hoping to bring home some nice 4-H chickens!

Do you know how long the chicken part of it is until? Is it only one day?

The girl who works at Agway by me said that if I want to buy chickens I should get there first thing on Friday.

Oh well. I spent the day welcoming 3 new Call ducks into our family so I wouldn't have been able to go anyway.

There are other shows, I guess. Although I would have loved seeing what was for sale...

How was the selection?

It runs for the entire week, through next weekend, I think.

When I got there, the people selling said that I was too early. It's better to get there later. I just can't win! LOL

While I was there, there wasn't much for sale. I did bring home two Polish hens, though; one black and one gold laced. That guy had two black and white roosters (even though his sign said hens!).

There were plenty of Silkies and Comets.

There should be more birds throughout the week, and from the 4H'ers, too.

I remember a few months ago there were alot of Silkies for sale, also.

It's the same couple that were selling Silkies at the poultry show in May.
