(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We are in SW Michigan. I've had chickens for 6 years as a gift from my hubby adding to our hobby farm after we added the orchard.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? I have 6 hens but did have 9 as well as 4 ducks over the years.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Orpington are my favorite next are Easter eggers, Barrock, Australorps and one very mean Leghorn rooster.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Eggs for us and eggs to charge. Hate having to cull the flock. Every animal has a job.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Crocheting, making applesauce.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Retired office assistant. We have two poodle mix dogs and a cat who's an excellent mouser.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Found you on Facebook. Enjoy the posts but I hate it when people ask for friendships. I am strictly friends with people I have known face to face for any years.
