I guess I am having a little trouble understanding.
Are blue swedish ducks the "same" duck as black swedish but they are just a different color? I've read in some places blue lay a tad less eggs, but they appear to be the same body weight.
Assuming they are the "same" - If you get a duckling that is suppose to be blue swedish, what are the chances of it potentially growing up with black feathers instead? (Curious)
 
Yeah, they're just different color varieties of the Swedish breed. It's an interesting thought but I'm not sure one color lays more than the other. I'd assume they average about the same.

I've read in Storey's Guide to Raising Ducks that "even the best specimens have a bit of black mixed with the blue." A Blue Swedish shouldn't be predominantly black though.
