So.....the last two days are the first days our chicks have been out from morning til night. We wanted to see if it's really true they will go back into the house on their own when it's dark. We went inside around 8:30 and about half (13) of our chicks were still grazing in the run and the other half were messing around in their coop.
About 10:00pm I say to DH, hey I need to go make sure the chick are put to bed, he says I'll come with ya. He trails behind and goes to his shop while I go to the run. I go into the run and sure enough all the chicks are in their coop all snuggled up behind the door on a bed of straw. I tell my little chickies, "Good Night, Sweet Chicken Dreams", then I closed the door and was coming out the run just the find DH standing there with a big grin on his face. He said "What did you just say, did you just say "SWEET CHICKEN DREAMS?"
He was laughing, I said well yes, I guess I did, he said come on let's go in, and that's why I love you.....sweet chicken dreams, my Lord.......
