Sweet feed

yesterday I grabbed a bag of stock and stable sweet feed, thinking it would be a nice treat for my chickens, as my sister in law daily gives her chickens a handfull of sweet mix (different kind than what I bought), and I thought it would be a nice change from the usual scratch I throw them in the morning..But now I am wondering if it is safe/ok to feed this to them, just as a treat?

I could be wrong but I would guess it's not the best as it is designed to feed ruminants and monogastric mammals that have the ability to process a lot of cellulose like horses. It may also contain too much sugar.
