I have been watching one of my pullets that is 5 weeks old now closely, and she isn't developing as fast as the others. She is still eating but she is smaller and doesn't seem to be as energetic. I'm so sad for her, but I'm not sure what to do,or what to expect. I just figured out yesterday that she has a truncated top beak and I do not know what to do about it, or what to expect for her. She seems a little thin and her feathers are not as smooth and nice as her sisters'. I can tell she isn't getting the proper nutrition she needs to thrive, but she is getting enough to survive. Has anyone ever had a little pullet with a smaller top beak live? I'm adding crumbles today instead of just pellets to help her get better nutrition. I will add a picture today of her beak to see if anyone can give me some advice. It may be a cleft beak, I'm just not sure....

Thank you!

So sad for little Dolly! She's a sweet one!

I put a vitamin packet in the water. She seems to be doing pretty good. I've been watching her and asking some perople I know who have chickens. since I haven't gotten any response on here about it really. Thank you for posting. I appreciate it.
