The French are crazy about chickens (the ones they eat) and eggs. I was at a public market today and you can buy eggs that are sorted by chicken breed. Even in the grocery store you are able to choose eggs from different breeds of chickens. Whole chickens in the grocery store and butchers are sorted by age, breed and color of meat (yellow vs. white, young vs. old, plus more that I don't know about yet). Most grocers have meat display cases that sell the chickens with the heads still on (feathers included). I am still learning!
There is a feed store chain where we buy our chicken food and I might ask them what is available for poo control. Finding linoleum to line the floor will be a challenge too. They have hardware stores but they don't have the same sort of building materials here like we do in the US. Most of the houses are made of stone, concrete, and tile so wood is expensive and difficult to find. Building supplies in general are not found in the variety that I am used to.
Thank you for your input!
