I recently got two chickens, Sweetie-belle and Edwina, and they are the sweetest! Edwina is a Rhode Island Red, but I’m not sure what Sweetie-belle is just yet. It was a bit of an impulsive buy, so I hope to learn as much as I can about how to give them a good, safe life here. They are both hens, so it’s definitely going to be a bit stressful (I’ve heard the horror stories), but I think this will be a good place to go to when I need help. Aside from that, I love how they respond to quiet cheering, chanting, and silly little noises. They are so cute! I also take care of budgies, so I know some about molting, feather plucking, and egg-bound birdies, which has made things a little easier the past couple of weeks. My mom’s friend has chickens as well, and suggested we join this group.
