sweetPDZ or DZ????

What is the difference? I put down the sweet PDZ inside my coop and mix it with the pine shavings. But I keep reading about DE. What is DZ and which is better or they used for two different things? Thank you.

If fixed it to DE instead of DZ, thanks

Do you mean DE? If so, the PDZ does have DE in it. I buy DE because I also use it in my feed bags to keep the feed dry.
Forgot to add that DE is diatomaceous earth and you will find a TON of posts related to it. It basically keeps things DRY.

Hi, Lime...Sweet PDZ...Stall Dry....It all works the same. Helps dry up poop and aids in others ways. Dusty, yes......Chickens make alot of dust so I'll take the dust over odor and wet poop. Just my opinion.

Oh wow thank you. So the DE is safe to sprinkle inside the feed bags? How much do you put in a 20 pound bag? I used to worry they would peck and eat the sweet PDZ but so far they seem to be okay and the coop smells much better than with out it. I only use maybe 1 to 2 cups for the coop mix with a whole bag of shavings. The coop is 8X12.
And I do open all the doors and windows after spreading it and mixing it with the shavings. Let the dust settle. Do you think I should be using straight DE and where do you buy it? I checked ATWOODS and TSC with no luck. Thank you

Also by spreading this throughout the coop and placing some in the feed bags and under the feed bags in my covered trash can will deter bugs, mice, etc? Wouldn't that be awesome. I don't have any right now but I am thinking with winter coming so will the field mice.
