Swimming chickens

My daughter just texted me at work and asked me if chickens can swim! ROFLMBO!! I don't think I even want to know!

Last winter I was trying to get a chicken back into the chicken yard that had gotten over the fence. It was near the pond, so i walked around to force her to go the other way. Well she is goofy to this day, so she flew out into the middle in January, and found out it was very cold. I figured she would drown, but she swam a bit, and after 5 minutes she finally made it to the other side. We also had a young rooster jump into the same pond and swim very well.
