Switching chick food

My chicks are about 6-7 weeks old and I have been feeding them starter. When should I switch their food and what should I switch to (I'm raising them as layers)? Also, is this a good time to feed them some worms from the store? Thanks!

Finish out yoru bag of starter then start giving them grower feed.

Feeding them worms is more for you than for the chicks as they get al they need from the feed.
