At what age or size do I switch my chicks to grower feed? They are 10 days old, flying, eating dandelions, healthy and running around. Thanks!

Does that mean they're on a medicated starter now or only dandelions?
Really you can do it anytime. I only feed grower. Some people feed medicated up to 16 weeks.
I start with a game bird grower about 22% protein or more and after a few weeks (depending on the purpose of the birds I cut back to a 18-19% grower.
I wasn't being snarky but I'm amazed at what people will feed animals.
Good luck.
Typically in the eight to twelve week range (call it ten weeks average). If you want to use grower that is.
I keep mine on chick starter (21% protein) until I sell them or find the first eggs. This is because my preferred feed brand uses antibiotics in their grower feed which I do not want to use with my birds. If they had an unmedicated grower I'd move them over in the 10-12 week range.
I had a neighbor tell me he needed replacement chickens because his completely quit laying.haha... at first, I kind of wondered and then that's what I figured... some people don't have sense enough to feed themselves correctly much less an animal that is dependent on them! sheesh... anyway, thanks for the info... my chicks are just going through the starter feed like crazy so wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something in their diet!
Have a great day!
I had a neighbor tell me he needed replacement chickens because his completely quit laying.
I asked him, "what are you feeding them?"
He said, "corn".
I said, "OK, but what else are you feeding them"?
He said, "just corn".
I said, "Well it's simple, you're starving them."
