Switching feed

i'm a new poster and glad to have this resource! my question, what to do when the pullets refuse their grower pellets? yesterday, i moistened it and that helped some, but they're not eating! they have sand and oysters, so i don't know what else they need?!

Wow...your hens get oysters??? If I had the choice, I would eat the oysters and not the pellets...

Do you fry them or are they served on the half-shell...

My hens also balked when I switched them to layer pellets this time (my feed store was out of crumbles). After 3 days, they decided that hunger > pickyness. They are eating fine now. Just be patient...

Chickens are not fans of change, in general. They'll eat it eventually.
