I have a 1 year old chantecler who I have had in sick bay for a while. About 2 month ago she prolapsed her vent. I was able to get this back in and secured so that it stayed... problem is that about a month ago I noted she was walking funny and her bum looked odd. Once I caught her I found her bottom extremely swollem and hard. The odd part is she seemed content otherwise... not sickly as most hens seem to get when something is wrong. I brought her into sick bay and started her on tetracylcine in her water. (one of my limited choices for treatment). I am still treating her though I have switched to neomycin. Her bottom is less swollem and softer, but certainly no where normal size. She is still eating and drinking and pooping normally, though is a bit off occasionally. Is there something some else could suggest for her? She is maintaining her weight fine. Thanks..... Too Many Issues to Deal With
