I looked up some information to help you. From what I found on BYC, maybe he was stung? I would link you to the feed, but I don't know how. I hope he's ok.

I’m concerned because I should be giving him to a new home soon, and not sure if I should keep him a little longer to treat it if I can figure out what to do or just give him away like I was going to and hope that they know how to help him.

Do you see any bubbles or foam in his eye? Can you get some Terramycin eye ointment to put a small dab into his eye twice a day? He might be showing signs of MG, a peck near his eye, have been stung, or have a foreign body in his eye. I would not rehome him now, but isolate him since he could have a respiratory disease.

He is acting fine, no other symptoms of sickness and no bubbles in his eye just the swelling around it. I don’t have terramycin but I do have erythromycin eye cream, would that work?

Did you ever use the erythromycin cream for his eye? Wondering because I have a Heb with similar issues and don’t have the terramycin but do have erythromycin

I ended up doing nothing and it cleared up on its own. I have had a couple things like this keep happening this summer with my pullets and cockerels, the ey all just cleared up on their own with this one being the worst.

Erythromycin works just like Terramycin ointment. You may also use plain Neosporin as well.
