1) 2 year old, barn mix Rooster. Probably 8-10 lbs (big boy)
2) swollen foot/leg up to ankle, it has gotten worse recently doesnt want to put pressure on it
3) 4-6 weeks. He had a rooster fight with another and was limping afterwards. Put him on crate rest
4) he is still eating and drinking
5) poops look good still
6) i have only done crate rest plus apple cider vinegar in water and chopped garlic in food.
7) I intend to treat it myself and I have treated Bumble foot in the past but this has none of the normal sore spots that I have seen with bumble.

Do you have any pictures of the swelling? It would have been nice to have xrayed the foot, since swelling and not being able to put weight on it sound like a bad sprain or fracture. Those can take weeks to heal. Is he eating and drinking well? I don’t think the garlic or acv is really necessary and the garlic may even be harmful. Meloxicam which is prescribed by a vet can help with swelling. Aspirin 81 mg tablet could be given with food twice a day for up to 3 days might be helpful if you cannot get the other.
