My hen has a swollen foot I just saw her foot today ,but not sure if she has had it for a long time. Here is an image. She may look wet because I have cleaned the foot with soap and water and have put antimicrobial cream on it. Is there anyway advice yall have to help with the swelling? Thanks in advance

It looks like it could be bumblefoot. Typically there is a hard "lump" that has to be removed before the foot can heal and get better.

I followed advice from MarlaMac and LaFleche and soaked the foot in epsom salts, sprayed with purple spray then put drawing salve on and dressed it with a dressing and blue vetwrap. I did this for at least a week and eventually was able to tease out the "kernel" with some tweezers and gentle squeezing. No cutting or any blood. she is making a fine recovery. The real improvement came after the kernel came free.

the grooves on the table are between 1/8 and 1/4 inch.

After that I treated her with antibiotic cream and dressed her every couple of days and she is much better.
Good luck.
Richard.
