Swollen foot

One of my hens has a swollen foot. There is no scab but it is puffy and there is some heat. Since it's so late, I thought I'd check it tomorrow, hopefully it will be better. Again, no scab so I don't think it's bumble-foot.

Any home remedies I should try?

She seems to be walking all right on it.

Definitely sounds like an infection. I'd give it a good look tomorrow and see if you can get a better idea of what it may be (mites, puncture wound infection, bumblefoot, etc). Can you post a pic of it for us to see? We may be of more help if we can see it too.

It's still swollen.

Sorry, I can't post pics because my camera isn't working.

A few of my other hens have scaly leg mites so all legs are going to get soaked and treated today. Once I get it cleaned up, I'll take a closer look at it.

It does sound like bumble foot as my neighbour had the same case as you but her chicken died this morning She knew it was bumble foot.... after the swelling went down she started shaking her head ALL the time! So you need to get her to the vets asa!!!!!!
