My wife noticed a couple of days ago that one of our 'teenage" RIR had a swollen leg. I checked it out today, and it looks pretty bad. It is about twice the normal size, right around the knee. I soaked in warm soapy water, sprayed it with some Bactine, covered in neosporin, and wrapped in a bandaid. I am not sure if there is a cut associated with it, but the poor dear certainly favors it. She is now in a separate smallish cage with food and water. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I am in only my first few months of having chickens, and would hate to lose one now.
