Swollen Rooster foot

I got a neighbors rooster yesterday because they have failed to take care of him and they stated that he had a broke leg. After I got him home i found they had put a zip tie on his leg and it had gotten too tight and restricted the blood floe to his foot. He is in pain and can barely use his foot. I am so heartbroken over this and have found it hard to get any veterinarian help or any information on how to proceed to help him. I immediately cut the tie off but his foot is swollen, but still seems to have good color in the foot. Not sure how to help him. I did put some colloidal silver gel on it a coulee of times and today soaked it in epsom salts and found small maggots floating in the water afterwards. Please advise me on how to help this wonderful rooster. I did talk to a parakeet vet who seemed to think the foot would be lost and cause his demise soon.

I 've looked at bumble foot and that is not it. His foot is at least 4x bigger that the other. I am going to the vet tomorrow, she believes he need a antibiotic shot. He is better, but still will not put pressure on it.
