Swollen turkey neck

The white broad breasted, around 16 weeks old, has been eating and drinking and behaving normally. Few days ago I noticed a large swelling at the right base of his neck. The caruncles are dilated and congested. The other image shows the 4 Royal Palms and the BB bronze are chillin and show no sign of illness. I don't find any avian vets around and now you can no longer get antibiotic without prescription.

If it is air causing the swelling, it is an air leak. The cure is to lance it and release the air. A small jagged cut works better than a needle because it takes longer to close giving the air leak a chance to heal.

No.

Turkeys have an air sac that they can inflate. They do so when they are strutting and drumming. Toms can develop an air leak causing their whole head to swell up like a balloon. It looks really bad but is not life threatening. Healing can occur quickly once the air is released.
