I know it is not a whizbang but it should do a better job then hand plucking. I will post pictures tomorrow. We have 39 cornishx roos and will process 5 to 10 tomorrow.

stinkies off to freezer camp.

For the small amount of birds (~60) I do a year, I broke down and purchased 1 myself. I wish I did so years ago. It's nice and small, compact, easy to clean and to store. I'm not experience with it yet, but in ~ 2 mins., I'll have a bird plucked. I can usually get a bird plucked before the next one is completely bled out.

We learned the secret is the temp of the scalding water. It really makes a difference. We did 25 Saturday afternoon. Started around 2 and finished before 5. That included going out to get the birds a few at a time.

Okay Susan, don't forget about your two new friends who had never seen this done before or had any part of this type of venture before. LOL. By the way, I fixed the livers for Kevin and he says they are delicious!!

I have one too. They work great just keep your water temp, between 140 and 150 or you will tear the skin if it gets to hot.
Just do 5 or 6 at a time or they get harder to pluck the longer you wait to pluck them.

I have never heard of a tabletop plucker. Where do you get one? Are they a lot cheaper than the whizbang type of plucker? Definitely share pictures!
