I'm new to chickens so still experimenting with materials to put down in the run. Last night i used chopped straw with tack. I have a huge bag leftover from a recent project. I woke up this morning in a panic--will the "tack" hurt the chickens? The bag says safe for pets and kids, but would the tack cause problems in their crops? Has anyone used this material and what' s your opinion?
