I know picture is best, I havent been able to get a good one yet.. My question is on Barred Rocks can the tail feathers get curvy on females as well as males? My 12 week old has the same size comb and wattles as everyone else ( I have 2 red sex link pullets) had all the female markings as a baby- dark wash down front of legs, small white head spot, darker color etc.

Her tail feathers seem to be coming in curved downward, just look a bit different than the other girls, same size tail, just donw curve to them.. BO, BA and 2 red sex links are what I have to compare her to. I dont see anything else that would make me think she's a rooster- she still has a baby chirp while the others have much deeper "voices" I will try and link a picture, but wanted to ask

I have 3 BR pullets, a couple weeks older than yours. One has a "normal" tail:

The other 2 have slightly curvy feathers, just like your girl:

So in direct answer to your question, yes, pullets can have curvy tail feathers. Just not so much as the males.

can you get a full body shot from the side. from the pics you have given it appears to be a pullet
