Is it possible to sex Silkies based on their tail feathers and do different colors show different signs? My little fluff balls are 10 weeks old now and I have 2 ea Buff, White and Blue (bearded) and I'm picking up some more today. I was under the assumption they were all girls until my favorite Buff (Honey) got a red comb and waddle at 6 1/2 weeks and started crowing at 7 weeks. The second one has the same size comb, but it's not red nor is the waddle as big. I have followed all the posts here but still can't decide if I may be wrong about the second Buff (Butterscotch aka Scotty and what I might have with the other 4. Every day I look at them and can't decide if I'm over-thinking. Argh! I will get pictures if it will help.
