tail length = gender

my pendenseca's are starting to feather out. All of the combs looks the same but some of them have long tails and some just have a few feathers. Does this help tell anything about gender? I will try to get pictures.

It seems to be a breed thing, to a degree, though. I cannot tell in my Ameraucanas by how they feather out at all. The Barred Rocks are pretty easy to tell by color sexing, but the girls get longer tails faster than the boys in that breed, almost always. Never assume anything, though.
