Talon Scratches Multiplying On Window

I thought it would be nice to put one of these double pane sealed window I had sitting around in the coop.



But now talon scratches are multiplying on it. Since my chickens spend very little time in there during the day, I'm thinking Owl.
The scratches are almost impossible to photograph but it looks like it's being hit from the angle I took this picture.

You can tell if the scratches are on the inside or outside.

I do see another concern though, no ventilation. I'd replace the window with hardware cloth.

May sound draft but possibly give the. A curtain, it won't completely block all outside light for them but should prevent anything from seeing in? Or possibly put a metal bars type grids on the window?
