I keep mine in the great room of the house -- it's pretty busy between the cats, the kid, and me since we're still full time virtual learning and remote work (very fortunate in this regard, many others are not so lucky). I agree with the slow, deliberate movements. I replace food and water daily, and announce 'water' to them. Some of the bossier hens will march right up to the door and peck at my fingers to hurry up!! I handle the hatchlings a LOT too, to the point that they will stay rolled over on their side after I open my hand up -- makings photographing them a LOT easier. They truly are charming things.
