Okay, so,the three chicks are eleven weeks old the hens are in their first year of laying. I don't mind if the hens still aren't tamed, its mainly the chicks. Can someone please give me some ideas that work?

Go to my BYC page; I have info there for tiny chicks and grown chickens. It can be done...

I dont really have one, It'd be nice to pick them up, and for them to get used to me.

Following noodleroo's method then is best way to go. If specific behavior desired, then tweeking of method can get it.

When using the the treat method, I use meal worms. Just do not over do it. And hide the container mealworms come in if you do not want birds to interact with you. For me, I want birds not to always associate me with food. Enables more interesting interactions later and keeps them from always being underfoot when doing chores.

Also, with consistent effort, you should be able to get birds to respond to you by name. Not a tall tail.
