does anyone know a website or any farms around south central wisconsin that sell dead birds for taxidermy purposes

Don't push these guys away. You can sell your birds that die naturally as long as they have good feathers. The money from your dead bird can buy your replacement bird.
www.taxidermy.net
In N.H.,Tony.

You can try taxidermy.net some people on there have pheasants for sale or you could possibly find any of the farms that rase them for releasemand ask them about them.

cool thank you to the two helpful people here!

you may try raising a few chukar / quail the finished product is much nicer when the taxi controls the dispatch

Just a question since I'm thinking about using some birds I plan on eating, how would I dispach the bird cleanly and quickly so I could prep for taxidermy?

Aspen Forest I would say break the neck but try not to pull out to many feathers, or if you want but in my opinion it is kind of cruel u could tape the birds legs together, put it on a bench or the ground on its back and push your knee on the chest till it dies from the pressure, like i said i think that is pretty cruel, sorry it took so long to reply
