I talked to the girl at TCS and she said they were a cross between Production Red's and Standard Laying hens (Whatever that means.) They are supposed to get heavy but not as heavy as Broilers, not experience the health problems, lay well, and Butcher into good meaty birds. Haha the holy grail right?
Anyway i was there to get my first batch of meat birds for the year so i had her throw a few of those Heavy's in the box.
Anyone have any experience with these? I've never seen them before. I assume they are just 1 generation back broilers, or even just red rangers. But you never know.
