My 5 week old turks have a behavior that is frustrating, So it is something that they grow through or something I am neglecting unintentionally. As they are eating, some or most, seem to take their beak and push the feed toward them onto the ground. They are not touching what they are dumping, so they are good at leaving piles of feed on the ground and kick alot of it back from them mixing it into their pine shavings. Any suggestions how to handle this. Do I need new hanging feeeders now or? the feeders i am using are for chicks/ small poults, that sit on floor, holds a quart and at the bottom has several small round holes circular.

Those are personally the worst kind of feeders in my experience. What you could do is make a square out of 2x4s and nail a piece of plywood to the bottom of the square on one side and staple a piece of rabbit cage wire on the other side. If you set the feeder on top of that, the extra food will fall onto the plywood and then you can just add whatever they don't eat back to the bag. You could also buy bowls instead. I use sturdy rubber hog bowls for my turkeys but anything that is deep and not easy to tip over would work. Unfortunately there is no way to teach turkeys good table manners. Be nice if there was!
