Hey everyone today i was awoke to a sad note we had a fox take my little bantam right off her nest we went out to check on her and she was gone and her eggs were broke everywhere with a few shells with blood on them left i only know it was a fox because i seen it trying to come back for more i was going to shoot it but it ran off i'm soo sad because she was my baby and only 1 one day from hatching her eggs my heart is shattered just thought i would share.

:aww I am so sorry to hear that. The poor thing. Do you have other chickens? If so, it WILL be back for them. Set a trap...or get a gun and waite it out. Again, I am so very sorry.

I am so sorry................it is so hard to lose a friend....... get a gun......... it works for me.....haven't had to shot anything since I got it.........but will !

I'm so sorry, I know how you feel. I am still trying to get past the murder of 8 of my babes on friday. I hope you have more babes to love and comfort you.

I so feel for you and know what you are going through. I had a fox raid my coop one week and he got away with 12 of my chickens including three of my freshly hatched babies (six in one day alone). When he was done the only ones I had left was momma hen and her five remaining babies. I was so upset to go out to the run everyday and find nothing but piles of feathers. Now we have an electric fence (he was climbing over the fence) and he had not been in since. I know that he is still around because I see him walk by the run all the time and now someone has loaned my husband a gun and we are going to get rid of him and all his buddies that stop by the next time we see them. good luck
