I have a Sebright x D'Uccle (supposidly) cross cockerel. He's TINY! Like, if you were to pick up a Bluejay, or Robin, that would be his size. Anyways, I would like to get him a lady friend! Oo la la! I want the female to be close to his size, or even smaller, if possible. I was thinking of a Sebright. Maybe even a Serama...are they tiny?

Yes, if he's that tiny, a serama hen or three would be ideal for him. Or one of those little bantam game hens (I can't recall what they're called) which are also aboout the size of a serama. My little serama pullet is about the size of a dove.

And for an idea of size. Here he is next to my standard girls:

Which is smaller, a Sebright or Serama?

He's so cute! Sounds like he'd go well with either seramas or OEGB (old english game bantams), which also happen to be my two favorite breeds. If you get either, you won't be disappointed--they're wonderful, adorable, and very fun to have around.

He looks bigger than a blue jay to me - more like the size of a Sebright or D'Uccle or Old English Game. If you wanted to be accurate, you could weigh him and compare him to the standard weights for those breeds (which you can find for example in the McMurray catalog).

Thank you SilverPhoenix! It's funny that you mentioned OEG's because I bought a OEG cockerel and an OEG pullet two days ago from someone. They're 3 months old and the pullet is SUPER small!

poltroon, thank you! I'll look inside my Murray McMurray Hatchery catalog tomorrow and compare his weight. When you're holding him he looks smaller then when he's standing. He might be more of a Magpie size or something...either way he's still tiny!
